So helpful to trap even the smallest of particles. It is so easy to break apart and refill my filters for my turtles’ tank. I use it with two filters (canister and sponge). I have not yet determined how long it can last but it may be subjective to the type of animal you are keeping and how much waste they produce.It comes in a vacuum sealed bag so it will expand after opening but it is easy to store away.
