This does the job for the most part of blocking out wind which is its soul purpose. My only grip is when on -set and your Microphone battery dies you have to unzip the dead cat, unscrew (twist) the end cap and sometimes its tricky to slide the microphone out just to switch out a microphone AA battery then put it back in. When you're on a time crunch on set it can be annoying. Other than that, I think it's a good choice for the price compared to others out there on the market.
